The ASM Handrail System is a clear anodized aluminum extruded railing. The system meets ADA requirements, ASTM E-985, and the latest UBC codes. There are many design features that we feel set our railing system apart from our competitors.
- Simplicity of parts - Rather than design hundreds of parts that confuse the installation, we have been careful to design parts that are mult-functional to reduce the complexity, and make stocking the parts more affordable.
- Our Anodize Process - Most railing manufacturers extrude the straight railing, then anodize it in bulk, and use the anodized rail to make the necessary bends to accomodate ramps, steps, and turns. This is the cheapest way to make these parts, but the severe stress caused during bending can whiten or show crease marks that can be unsitely as a finish part. We spend extra to bend our parts in raw aluminum first, and then anodize on custom racks for each part to ensure a uniform defect free part.
- Ease of Installation - Some railing systems require positive fastening of the posts to the subfloor. This is both difficult to install and very time consuming, and many times does not end up plum and true. Our system uses an all-thread anchoring system to lock the panel in place, and the prefabricated guardrail post simply screws directly to the flooring surface ready to mount the railing.
- Hardware Provided - We provide all hardware necessary for a quick and successful installation. No running around town looking for hard to find anchors, or the right size rivet. When you order by the linear foot, we include all the fasteners you will need to complete the job 100%. Instructions with pictures show how each type of hardware is used in our system.
- Customer Support - When you order our railing, you will be talking with someone who has installed the railing himself. This system is the culmination of 12 years of hands on experience, with feedback from many customers to make small improvements.
